The Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Commission is committed to protecting the environment and public health through the provision of safe, reliable, cost-efficient and environmentally responsible wastewater transmission and treatment services. The ACRWC will contribute to the health and safety of Albertans and their ecosystem, while enabling the growth and development of our member communities.
It is the ACRWC's policy to:
- Prevent or reduce pollution to land and water by planning and operating our facilities to reduce environmental impacts.
- Understand and commit to the compliance of legal and other requirements.
- Review our environmental objectives and targets and set guidelines to reduce our environmental impact.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of and continually improve our environmental management system (EMS) and educate those working for or on behalf of the ACRWC where necessary to meet legal and other requirements.
